WKC presents on the market a new Katana, forged in the traditional Japanese technology of the Makuri. A soft core from C45 umschmiedet from a hard coat from carbon steel C105. - Sugata Blade Style
- Sugata (blade form): Hand-forged sides and Chu-Kissaki (top). The blade back is with iori-mune, the edge is particularly flat and is well dragged, without Niku. The blade is forged from 2 sorts steel and the softer C45 is embeded in the harder C105. This smithy art according to Japanese model Makuri is taught in Japan since centuries only to the best smithies. Both steels are made possible with up to 26000 positions verschmiedet and the special loam hardness technology made visible the Martensitkristalle and the Hamonlinie. This is made visible with only by manual polish on the steel blade. The hardness of the edge lies with 61 ° HRC and the back with 48 ° HRC.
